Enjoy the Venice islands tour: day trip in the northern lagoon to admire Murano, Burano and Torcello. 6 hours to see the islands in all their beauty.
Start from St. Mark’s Square you will cross the lagoon comfortably seated in a panoramic boat with a specialized guide that will explain history and culture of the islands.
The first stop is Murano known throughout the world for its glass manufacturing industry. Here there is a stop to visit one of the factories to admire a glass demonstration done by a local artist that will create an unique glass item in front of your eyes. Then you will have time to visit the lovely island. (You will stay on the island 1 hour and 15 minutes approx.)
The second stop is on the picturesque island of Burano, famous not only for its laces manufacture but also for its fishermen's houses painted in bright colors. Get lost through the colored streets and taste the delicious local cakes “Bussolai”. (You will stay on the island 1 hour and 30 minutes approx.)
The last, but not the least is the quiet and sparsely populated island of Torcello, the first center of civilization in the estuary. On these island you can admire the oldest churches of the lagoon and discover how Venice was born! (You will stay on the island 1 hour approx.)

ARRIVING BY PUBLIC VAPORETTO
Take line #1 and get off at “S. MARCO-S. ZACCARIA (Danieli)" stop. Once you get off turn left and you find a yellow desk by the Prisons’ Palace on your right just before the bridge called Ponte della Paglia.
ARRIVING ON FOOT
The yellow desk is located by the Prisons’ Palace in Riva degli Schiavoni near St. Mark’s Square. Once by the Bell Tower, leaving the Basilica on your left, proceed straight on to the two columns, then turn left. Cross one bridge, called Ponte della Paglia, and you will find the yellow desk by the Prisons’ Palace on your left.
